The Sungod Skating Club took pride in announcing the selection of one of its athletes to represent the Province at the 2024 Novice Canadian Championships in Waterloo, Ontario, from February 21st to 25th.
Alson Chang, a talented 15-year-old, will be making his debut at the Canadian Championships, marking the beginning of what the club hopes will be a successful journey in his skating career.
Alson, who secured the title of 2023 BC Winter Games Champion, earned his spot in the Novice Canadian Championships by finishing among the top 18 competitors at the Skate Canada Novice Challenge event held in Oakville, Ontario, earlier this month.
Now, Alson is gearing up to face off against skaters from across the country once again, aiming to improve upon his previous performance and secure a top 10 placement.
