Get your hands on a free tree to brighten your front or back yard, and contribute to a healthier environment.

The City of Delta is offering 500 trees to the community — 250 in the spring, and another 250 this fall. There are a variety of ten different tree types to choose from, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Information on how to plant, and nuture your new tree so that you can care for them like a pro is available. We all know how amazing trees are for our planet and our well-being, so let’s dive right in!

Their mission is simple: to empower you to green up your space and nurture these trees to full, glorious life.

Here’s the lowdown:

Save the Date: The online reservation form opens on Wednesday, March 20 at 11:00 am. Get those calendars marked!

Tree Selection: We’ve got a variety of ten different tree types for you to choose from. Simply pick your top three preferences, and we’ll do our best to match you up!

Home Delivery: Each household can order up to two trees, delivered straight to your doorstep in April—perfect timing for planting season.

Share the Love: Join the fun on social media! Snap a pic of your newly planted tree, tag us @CityofDeltaBC on Instagram or Facebook, and use #PlantingOurRoots for a chance to win a fantastic Delta Prize Pack.
