In Loving Memory ~

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ida Freer after a brief Illness.

Ida was born in Aalborg Denmark and immigrated to Canada when she was very young with her parents Helge and Ellen Lindhede and brother Torben. She grew up in Kitsilano, Vancouver and that is where she met her future husband John Freer whom she married in 1974. They moved to Surrey to raise their family of 5 children.

Ida wore many different hats over her life, she was a lawyer in Abbotsford, an author, ran her own daycare, and ended her career as a kindergarten and learning assistant Teacher in Surrey, but she also volunteered her time to do many things close to her heart for people and animals.

Her greatest joys in life were raising her children and being around family, followed by travelling the world, playing piano and being with her dogs.

She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband John, and her loving children Emily, Kevin (Victoria), Stuart (Natalie), Megan (Gianni) and Fiona.

Her much-loved Grandchildren Alexandria, Bennett, Lachlan, Haldan, Piper, Roman and Wyatt. Cousins, Dan (Yvonne), Ian (Sherri) and Susan.

Brother-in-laws Robert (niece and nephew Andrew and Amelia) Bruce (Christine) and her Uncle Palle.

A funeral service to honour Ida will take place: Friday, May 3rd, at 11:30 am at the Danish Lutheran Church, 6010 Kincaid Street Burnaby.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Mazatlananimalrescue@gmail.com, Birds Canada or the Danish Lutheran Church is appreciated.

Forever in our hearts. We will look for you in rainbows.
