In Loving Memory ~

Corol passed away peacefully at the age of 102 years at Suncreek Village, Surrey, BC. A big thank you to all of the staff at Suncreek, especially to Noni Magon. With special thanks to the Magnolia Court Nursing Staff under the leadership of Lalaine and Paramjit. Their loving care for Corol was unmatched.

Predeceased by her precious husband, Byron, in November 1996, after 53 years of marriage.

Also predeceased by her five sisters Mary (May) McCaskie of Burnaby, BC, Maud Purcell of Calgary, AB, Kory Van Winkle of Edmonton, AB, Valentine Bleakley of Whitehorse, YT, and Victoria (Vic) Pugh of Edmonton, AB; and her three brothers, Johnny Fulthorp of Trail, BC, George (Jordy) Fulthorp of Edmonton, AB, and Fred Fulthorp of Calgary, AB.

She is survived by daughters Trudi McKell of Edmonton, AB, and Darline Harder of Surrey, BC; granddaughters Suzanne Harder Akkus of Quebec; Tracy Oliver and Michele McKell of Edmonton, AB.

Corol was the youngest of nine children. In 1942, she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at Rockcliffe Station, Ottawa, where she met her beloved Byron. They wed in 1943 and, a few years later, relocated to the Vancouver area.

Corol was a ray of sunshine and was loved by so many. A beautiful woman, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Corol had many talents, including her love of singing and her dedication to art in creating exquisite oil paintings, some of which reached Holland.

Her Brazilian Embroidery was an example of her exquisite work, and she would spend hours creating her craft. She touched our hearts with unforgettable memories and is dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
