Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Metro Vancouver.
A strong low pressure system will pass to the west of Vancouver Island today, bringing strong winds to much of the South Coast.
Wind warnings are in effect for most of Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, and Southern Gulf Islands.
Winds are forecast to rise over the remainder of the inner South Coast through this afternoon, with gusts potentially in excess of 80 km/h.
Winds will remain quite strong through this evening as the low moves across northwestern Vancouver Island.
