Cloverdale-Langley City MP John Aldag is seeking input from Surrey and Langley residents for the 2018 federal budget.
In an email, Aldag said that the federal government’s focus was to grow the economy and “provide more support to the middle class and those working hard to join it.”
He listed job creation, the new Canada Child Benefit and an economy “growing faster than any other country in the G7” as victories. “These are positive results but there is still a lot more work to do,” he said.
Constituents are invited to send in ideas, feedback or a “vision” for what Canada’s economic future should look like by responding to a series of surveys published on the Government of Canada’s website.
There are four surveys available, focused on “progress for the middle class,” “the economy of tomorrow,” “lifelong learning” and “gender equality.”
Survey responses are open until January 20, 2018.
