Now’s the time to finally get rid those items in your home that have been taking up valuable space.

Spring Clean-Up starts April 8, 2024.

This enhanced pick-up service is available for eligible households in Delta, allowing you to dispose of excess or bulky items hassle-free. If your household receives curbside garbage collection, you’re automatically eligible to join the program.

Mark your calendars for collection dates:

Tsawwassen: Monday, April 8

Ladner: Tuesday, April 9

North Delta:

Wednesday, April 17 (for regular Wednesday collections)

Thursday, April 18 (for regular Thursday collections)

Please note: Scrap metal items must be separated from regular garbage. Garbage items will be collected first, followed by scrap metal items using a separate vehicle. If your scrap metal items aren’t collected on the same day, simply leave them curbside, and our crews will return to pick them up.

Before placing items curbside, please review the program’s restrictions:

• Material should not be placed out earlier than the weekend prior to collection.

• Accepted material should not exceed the volume of one pick-up truck load (2.5m x 1.2m x 1m).

• Oversize items won’t be accepted; items should be manageable by two people.

• Loose material isn’t accepted; everything must be bagged or bundled.

• Keep spring clean-up material separate from regular recycling and green waste.

For a detailed list of accepted and non-accepted items, visit the Spring Clean Up webpage.
