The Delta Photo Club is holding its first meeting of the 2023-24 season next week, followed by its first outing a few days later.

Previous and prospective members are invited to “Zoom” in at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6 for a virtual introduction to the club and an overview of the exciting photo nights, skills development sessions, workshops, competitions, and fun outings planned for this season.

Then, on Saturday, Sept. 9, DPC is hosting its first “Connect, Create and Learn” outing of the season in Ladner. The in-person outdoor gathering will be a photo scavenger hunt designed to challenge photographers to become more familiar with their cameras and go beyond using “auto” mode.

Photographers from beginner to pro are welcome to come out to meet fellow members at this fun event while creating some good images and learning a bit more about photography.

To attend, either renew your membership or join the Delta Photo Club by filling out the membership form at deltaphotoclub.com/member-sign-up-form. Memberships are available for $40/year, $25 for those under 18 years old, or $70 for a family.

Alternatively, those looking to test the waters can attend the inaugural meeting and/or outing for free as a guest by sending an email to workshops@deltaphotoclub.com by noon on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The Zoom link for the meeting will be sent out in the afternoon of Sept. 6, and details for the photo scavenger hunt outing will be sent in the evening of Sept. 8.
