Bring your old bras to Bear Creek Park at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Support needed – and bras can help

CIBC Run for the Cure preceded by Paint Canada Pink Week – and they need your old bras on Sunday.

Weeks before the annual CIBC Run for the Cure on Oct. 2, organizers in Surrey wanted to do something a little different and fun for Paint Canada Pink Week.

On Sunday, Aug. 14, beginning at 11 a.m, run organizers will fill a fence with donated bras.

While they have been collecting some, more donations of bras are needed on that day – all to promote breast health.

Bras do not need to be new (although they will not say no to them), nor do they need to be pink, just not tattered and worn out.

At the end of the event all bras will be donated to women’s shelters.

Bear Creek Park is located at 13750 88 Ave.
