Langley Events Centre (LEC) was the scene of JR's Holiday Fun Day as part of the "Basics for Babies" campaign today.
The event gathered donations of baby food, diapers and other products for the Sources Langley and Surrey food banks.
It featured live performances by Raquel Cole, Dan Davidson, Madeline Merlo, Aaron Pritchett and Washboard Union.
Santa was there, along with bouncy castles, kids crafts, face painting and a silent auction.
Despite the snow warning, the parking lot at the LEC appeared at least half-full.
Basics for Babies was created in 1994 when 93.7 JRfm recognized a chronic shortage of baby supplies at Lower Mainland Food Banks.
So far, the campaign has raised over $2 million and hundreds of thousands of pounds of diapers, baby food, formula, pabulum and other items.
