A “shiranui” move is performed by Matt X Static on Bishop during an All Star Wrestling event in Cloverdale in 2013.

Think you have what it takes to perform inside the squared circle?

The ECCW pro-wrestling training centre in Surrey is holding a tryout for its training program on Friday, Dec. 2 starting at 6 p.m.

“You must be physically fit and prepared to show us that you have what it takes to become a professional wrestler,” reads an event poster.

“The tryout is $50 and if you are accepted, it comes off of the total cost of your training.”

The tryout will take place at Gateway MMA, located at 13534 King George Blvd. Those planning to attend are asked to email smacwrestling@icloud.com.

• Meanwhile, All Star Wrestling returns with “November Nightmare,” an event set for Friday, Nov. 25 at Cloverdale Fairgrounds’ Alice McKay Building.

Featured matches include Lush vs. Jeff Cobb and Nick Rogers vs. Alexander Hammerstone, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for front row and $15 for general admission. Call 604-710-0872 for details, or visit the website Allstarwrestling.ca.

Following the event, fans can meet the wrestlers at Attic Bar & Lounge, located at 9461 120th St. in North Delta.
