It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter (Ted) Edward Pomery, surrounded by his family at his home in Surrey.
Ted is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Lenora Pomery, and his sister and brother-in-law Nancy (Pomery) and Beattie Huntley. Left to mourn him are his wife Catherine (Kit) Pomery, daughters Katy Pomery (August), Christina Presley (Dwayne), and Marion Pomery (Benjamin), grandchildren Emily and Nathan Presley, and brother Douglas Pomery (Patricia) along with many nieces and nephews.
Ted was born in Belleville, ON, and grew up in Trenton. He was the first in his family to graduate high school and go on to post secondary, attending Queens University for a degree in chemistry.
He and Kit moved to Calgary, AB, in 1978 and then to Surrey with their children in 1989. They were active members of their church, St Andrews-Newton Presbyterian, where a memorial service will be held on October 9, 2020 and the interment of his ashes will occur in Southampton, ON, at a date to be determined.
