It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kelly Jean Bencze, who passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025 at Langley Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Kelly is survived by her husband of 36 years, George Bencze; her two sons, Ron and Christopher; her parents, George and Velda Leask; her younger sister, Coleen Weir and Kelly's niece, Alexandra.
Kelly's passion was competing in show jumping and other equestrian events. She also enjoyed gardening, a good cup of tea, reading, quilting, cross-stitching, beading, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and knitting. All these hobbies brought peace and comfort for her, but Kelly's ultimate joy was her family.
Kelly was a Christian who loved volunteering in the Children's Ministry at Cloverdale Baptist Church, where teaching children brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
She will be missed by many for her infectious positivity, gentleness, infinite patience, and steadfast kindness.
