It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Potma on May 27, 2022. He passed away peacefully in hospital after a short illness surrounded by his family. He is now in heaven with his Lord and Saviour.
Bill is pre-deceased by his wife of 42 years, Joan and survived by his wife of 14 years, Tina and son Stan (Teri) and daughters Leslie (Paul) and Julia (Karl) as well as many grand and great grandchildren.
Bill came to British Columbia in 1978, first to Coquitlam and later Surrey to be closer to the 'forest' he dreamed of as a child.
Bill spent all 60 years of his working life in the mining and material handling equipment industry and became known as a Conveyor Specialist.
Bill was a member of the Christian Reformed Church where he served faithfully those who needed support in providing for themselves. His concern also included the local parks and he was an active member of the Green Timbers Society for many years.
