It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Henry Scott, age 97. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 74 years, Ruth. He leaves behind, 3 children: Lorne (Shirley), Leslie (Laura), and Loretta; 4 Grandchildren: Philip (Natasha), Dianna (Brian), Lindsey (Ryan) and Lorne (Amanda); 6 Great-Grandchildren: Lorne, Tyson, Matthew, Carter, Autumn and Zoe and Great, Great Granddaughter Penelope. Henry was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba living in Winnipeg until age 9.
He grew up in Cranbrook, BC until he was 16 and then his family settled in Port Alberni. Henry joined the R.C.A.F. in 1943 and served until 1945 after which he married Ruth.
They built their first home together in Port Alberni and then moved to Surrey in 1956 and lived in the same home for the next 63 years. Henry passed peacefully in Chilliwack surrounded by his family.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
