Surrey RCMP are investigating a shooting early Saturday morning that left a man with life-threatening wounds.

The call came in to police shortly after 4 a.m. on Dec. 17 in the 13500-block of 91 Avenue.

Police say the 45-year-old victim was transported to hospital, but other sources say the man showed up at the hospital at the time police were investigating the area after a shots-fired complaint.

Policed closed the intersection of 91 Avenue and King George Boulevard for a few hours.
