The Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre in South Surrey will be closed for more than a month next year for what the City of Surrey refers to online as ‘scheduled maintenance.’

On the city’s website, a note underneath the pool’s listed ‘hours of operation’ says that the facility’s pool will close from Feb. 4 until March 13. The fitness centre, however, will remain open.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage patrons to visit other indoor pools during this time,” the message reads.

It’s not the first time the pool – which is located at 16855 24 Avenue – has closed for an extended period for maintenance. The aquatic facility – which opened in March 2016 – closed for 41 days later that same year for “scheduled warranty maintenance” on the pool’s mechanical systems.

The Semiahmoo Peninsula’s other indoor aquatic facility is the South Surrey Indoor Pool (14655 17 Ave.).
