Delta School District releases district calendar through to end of 2020/21

Includes start and end dates, holidays, pro-d days, winter and spring breaks for each school year

Looking to get a jump on planning your family’s spring break getaway for 2021?

Yesterday, the Delta School District released its district calendar through to the end of the 2020/21 school year. The calendar lists the start and end dates for each school year, as well as all planned school closures including statutory holidays, non-instructional days, and spring and winter vacation periods.

Here are some of the highlights:

Next school year starts on Sept. 4, 2018 and runs through to Dec. 21. Schools reopen after the winter break on Jan. 7, 2019, the close again for spring break March 18-29. The year wraps up on June 27, 2019.

The 2019/20 school year kicks off on Sept. 3, and continues through to Dec. 20, before reopening on Jan. 6, 2020. Spring break runs March 16-27, and schools close for the summer June 25, 2020.

And finally, the 2020/21 school year gets underway on Sept. 4 and extends through Dec. 18 before closing for winter vacation. Classes start again on Jan. 4, 2021. Students will get an extra day for spring break that year, running from March 22 to April 5, as it ends on Easter Monday. Students’ last day will be on June 29.
