The Delta Chamber of Commerce welcomed two new members to the board after its annual general meeting on March 15.

Ted Olak, director at BDC Capital, and Geoffrey Willers, branch manager at Envision Financial Ladner Community Branch, were welcomed onto the board after the departure of long-time members John Dymond and Orville Nickel.

Les Voros, of Voros Financial Services, became this year’s chair for the Chamber, taking over the position from Dave Hamilton, general manager of the Delta Optimist.

“This Chamber has helped to move the economy of Delta in a positive direction,” Nickel said after the vote. “It has been a lot of work, but I think we leave this chamber in really good hands for Les and for Dave to move forward over the next couple of years.”

Both Dymond and Nickel were awarded certificates of appreciation for their service to the board.

Yvonne Anderson, of Santevia Water Systems Inc., was elected the chamber’s vice-chair, and Manpreet Natt, of Canadian Autoparts Toyota Inc., will return as the chamber’s treasurer.

This year’s directors are: Sia Adjudani, Rick Gibbs, Melissa Granum, Kelly Guichon, Ted Olak, Beau Olmstead, Hugh Reynolds, Ryan Sahota, Lorna Van Straaten and Geoffrey Willers.
