The proposed City of Delta budget is here, and it’s time to have your say!
The City of Delta has put together the 2021 Draft Financial Plan, and now they want your input. Learn more about their proposed budget, then fill out the survey to let the city know how best to invest your tax dollars.
Budget highlights
- Parks: Drainage and irrigation improvements at Sunbury Park, Gunderson Park, Cromie Park and Association Park, and two new off leash dog parks.
- Recreation facilities: Recreation facility improvements.
- Housing: Continued work on the Housing Action Plan, the Ladner Village Renewal Plan and the Task Force for Scott Road.
- Neighbourhood livability and safety: Sidewalk connections and associated street lighting upgrades in Delta, crosswalks and road safety, cycle infrastructure and bus stop accessibility enhancements.
- Protective Service Funding: Continued funding for Police, Fire and Emergency services.
- Climate action and pandemic recovery: Grants to fund information technology projects, community resilience, economic recovery and emerging needs for vulnerable Delta residents.
