The City of White Rock is inviting the public to attend its third annual Volunteer Fair, coming up on Sunday, April 27.

The free event, held in recognition of National Volunteer Week, provides an opportunity for people in the community to connect with more than 20 local organizations and learn about volunteer openings with each.

Venue for the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event will be White Rock Community Centre (in Miramar Village, 15154 Russell Ave.).

Exhibitors will represent volunteer opportunities in everything from literacy and social services to environmental initiatives and fundraising efforts.

“The White Rock Volunteer Fair highlights the invaluable contributions volunteers make to local organizations," White Rock Mayor Megan Knight commented.

"It’s a wonderful opportunity to build connections and create positive change.”
