• Ladner Village Market: Every other Sunday through Sept. 21 (next market on June 22), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year marks the market’s 29th season in Ladner Village. A gathering place for friends and family, the Ladner Village Market has become a destination outing for visitors from throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond. Featuring over 160 artisan vendors each day, the market is one of western Canada’s largest open air markets. CANADA DAY
• Canada Day in North Delta: July 1, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Chalmers Park (11400 76A Ave.). Join the City of Delta, in partnership with the North Delta Lions Club, as we celebrate Canada Day at Chalmers Park. The festivities begin with a parade from 114th Street and 82nd Avenue, heading west towards 112th Street, then south along 112th to Burnsview Secondary School. The festival runs from 3:30 to 10 p.m., with an official opening ceremony at 4 p.m., plus fun activities, food services, roaming entertainers, children’s performers, live music and fireworks. • Boundary Bay Airshow: July 19, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Boundary Bay Airport (7800 Alpha Way). The City of Delta and Alpha Aviation are thrilled to invite you to the 2025 Boundary Bay Airshow! This year’s airshow will delight all age groups with great performances and fan interactions by amazing pilots. We are thrilled to be welcoming the Canadian Forces Snowbirds as our headlining act. Airshow fans can look forward to exhilarating aerobatic performances from talented pilots such as Kyle Fowler, Vicky Benzing, Brad Wursten and Yuichi Takagi. AMATEUR RADIO
• Delta Amateur Radio Scoiety Field Day: June 28-29 at the North 40 Park Reserve (adjacent to Boundary Bay Airport on Churchill Street). Members of the Delta Amateur Radio Society (DARS) will be participating in the annual Field Day emergency preparedness exercise June 28-29 at North 40 Park Reserve. The purpose of the exercise is to deploy and operate amateur radio equipment in a remote location, independent of existing power and communication infrastructure. Since its inception in 1933, the annual Field Day event has grown to involve over 35,000 amateur radio operators in North America. The operators, otherwise known as “hams,” set up stations in remote locations using emergency power sources such as generators, batteries or solar power. Over a continuous 24-hour period, they attempt to make contact with as many other amateur stations as possible. DARS will be establishing seven radio stations, providing communications using voice, data and Morse code. The park is open to the public and all are welcome to visit during operating hours — from 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit deltaamateurradio.com/fieldday.

• Knit ‘n' Stitch: Sundays, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at George Mackie Library, 8440 112th St. Hosted by Fraser Valley Regional Library. Pack up your needles and yarn and head to the library. In Yin Yoga we learn how to better listen to our bodies, by allowing ourselves to slow down enough to listen to the clues from the unconscious mind of what is actually going on we learn everything we need to know.
