UPDATE: Missing 30-year-old from Surrey found safe

UPDATE: The missing 30-year-old has been located and is safe, according to a press release from Surrey RCMP Monday (April 15) night.

Surrey RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in finding a missing 30-year-old.

On Saturday (April 13), the individual was reported missing to the police after they travelled to Vancouver and failed to return home.

They are described as Indigenous, 5’11”, with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Since the first release was issued, there have been two confirmed sightings in the Whalley area, Surrey RCMP said in a new release Monday (April 15).

Investigators from the Surrey RCMP Missing Persons Unit have been following up on all available leads, but have not been able to connect with them in person to confirm their well-being.

It is out of character for this person to be out of touch this long and police and family are concerned for their health and well-being, RCMP said.
