No one was injured when shots were fired into a North Delta home early Tuesday morning.
Delta police say an unknown suspect fired at a home in the 11300-block of 92nd Avenue just before 3 a.m. on Nov. 26. The home was occupied at the time.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, however the reason for the incident and the identity of the suspect remain unknown.
"At this time, it is still undetermined if this incident is gang-related," police said in a press release.
DPD officers will be conducting a door-to-door canvas today (Tuesday) to identify potential witnesses and to collect CCTV video.
Anyone who lives in the area or was travelling in the neighbourhood around the time of the incident and witnessed any suspicious behaviour or the shooting itself is asked to contact the Delta Police Department at 604-946-4411 and quote file number 2024-22324.
Police are also asking anyone in the area with CCTV video on their home, dash-mounted camera in their vehicle or Tesla cameras active who may have footage related to the investigation to also contact them at the number above.
This is the second shooting in Delta this year, after an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 7500-block of Minster Drive East was targeted in the early hours of Aug. 31.
Police say there is no indication the two incidents are related.
