Artists and artisans from Delta, Surrey, White Rock and beyond are putting their wares up for auction to help local kids with autism.
Bidding opens Feb. 10 in Reach Child and Youth Development Society's fifth annual Art Auction for Autism fundraiser.
The online auction will feature paintings, sculptures, pottery and one-of-a-kind wearables by members of the South Delta Artist’s Guild, South Delta Artisans, North Delta Potters Guild, Delta Potters Association, White Rock Art Walk, Vancouver Art Gallery, and South Surrey & White Rock Art Society, as well as renowned individual artists.
The show runs until Feb. 26 at artauctionforautism.com.
This year, for the first time, Reach will be hosting an in-person art show displaying the artwork up for auction at the society's child development centre in Ladner, located at 5050 47th Ave., on Valentine’s Day (Feb.14) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Come and check it out for yourself because the quality of artwork is noteworthy. We send an enormous thank you to our artist donors,” Reach events co-ordinator Tamara Veitch said in a press release. “Who knew the talent pool was so deep!"
Thanks to the contributions of local artists and artisans, the annual auction has raised a cumulative $32,575 since 2020. Reach thanks auction sponsor Fortis BC for their support in 2025.
Reach Child and Youth Development Society is a non-profit charitable society that has been providing services to children and their families since 1959. Reach currently provides programs and services to over 1,200 children and their families in Delta, Surrey and Langley every year.
