Delta Mayor George Harvie (right) speaks alongside federal Conservative candidate for Delta Jessy Sahota (centre) and Conservative South Surrey-White Rock MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay at the grand opening of Sahota's campaign office in North Delta on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Harvie can be seen in this photo and a video posted to Sahota's social media accounts wearing a City of Delta-branded jacket at the event.

Editor,

Regarding the image of Delta Mayor George Harvie at the opening of the campaign office of Conservative candidate Jessy Sahota, I was surprised to see him wearing a jacket clearly showing his connection to the City of Delta.

I don't see Mr. Sahota wearing anything that shows he is a member of the Delta Police Department.

I thought that in his position of mayor, Mr. Harvie represents all the citizens of Delta and should not be seen to be partisan.
