A judicial recount of the Surrey-Guildford provincial election results is set for Nov. 7-8 at the Surrey-Fleetwood District Electoral Office.

Meantime, and depending on the results of that recount, incumbent Garry Begg stands as NDP MLA-elect, defeating Conservative candidate Honveer Singh Randhawa by 27 votes.

His victory, if confirmed, gives the NDP a razor-thin majority government with 47 seats.

Election day was Oct. 19.
