Delta Community Foundation is partnering with Evolution Fulfillment to host a food truck-based fundraiser next week.
Happening 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 27, the outdoor event at 7107 Venture St. (in the parking lot by the pink buildings) aims to bring the community together for a great cause, with Delta Community Foundation directing all proceeds towards supporting local charities and initiatives.
“We're thrilled to partner with Evolution Fulfillment to bring people together in support of our community,” DCF president Gillian Lowrey said in a press release. “Every bite helps build a better Delta.”
A mouthwatering lineup of food trucks will be on-site rain or shine to serve up fresh, local flavours, including JJ’s Hot Cobs, Japanese Teriyaki Express, Holy Taco & Mexi Eats, and Kona Ice Chilliwack.
“Our Tilbury neighbours are always looking for more lunch time food options and we are always looking for a way to give back to our community. We are excited at this opportunity to fulfill on both of those,” Ben Martin, president of Evolution Fulfillment, said in a press release.
Sometimes called Delta's "charity for charities," the Delta Community Foundation supports charitable initiatives that enhance quality of life for all the city’s residents by managing endowments and donor-advised funds, and awarding strategic grants to finance local non-profits and projects addressing vital community needs such as mental health, education, arts and culture, youth, seniors, the environment, and social services.
