Editor,

President Trump likes to incite people. Over the years, he has never been one to use accurate information in his rantings. If he had chosen to check the amount of fentanyl coming from Canada to the United States, he would have seen that statistics show that it is only one percent. And I doubt if we have hordes of illegal immigrants rushing to go into the United States.

Suggesting we use diplomacy is hopeless in this case. We are dealing with a bully, and bullies do not accede to diplomacy, but have to be dealt with both brains and force.

Trump has shown his disregard and contempt for Canada in his statements. Anyone who thinks that we can beat this challenge without a show of strength is deluding herself.
