This is one in a series of special Langley Advance Times stories about what to expect at this year’s Langley Good Times Cruise-In, happening this Saturday, Sept. 7, in Aldergrove. You can also check out this series in our special keepsake edition, which hit the streets on Wednesday and available in limited quantity at the car show.
Two mini fridges decorated for the Langley Good Times Cruise-In 25th anniversary will be going home with someone at this year's charity car show.
One of the fridges will be raffled during the show, and the other will be sold through the souvenir booth.
"They are custom hand-painted by Axe Graphics from Maple Ridge," explained Kylie Brundell, who is overseeing souvenir sales for the charity car show.
In addition to the commemorative fridges, the organizers have lined up all kinds of souvenirs for those wanting to take home a special something from the milestone car show.
It wouldn't be Cruise-In without the annual poster, created just for the event. Those will be sold at the souvenir booth.
"That's always the main piece," she noted.
Many people enjoy picking up something to wear and there's that, too.
"We've got [T-shirts] this year in black and white, and we find that those end up being a bit of a collector's item," Brundell said.
There will, of course, be the varying sizes, but there will also be different cuts, such as the ladies T, ladies tank, and youth Ts.
"It gets to have a bit more variety,… and then we've also got some cool hats this year," she added.
This year's poster and T-shirts celebrate the 25th anniversary and feature the In 'N' Out Burger truck alongside vintage vehicles, a tip of the hat to the burger chain that has long supported Cruise-In.
There's the addition of trucker-style caps with mesh back, and flight tags, which are popular. Brundell explained that they are fabric and have the logo embroidered on them.
People can also get their hands on mugs.
"They're also kind of their coveted item," she said.
There's car souvenirs, including tin signs and of course, dash plaques.
