Two men injured after stabbing in Surrey

Police respond to a call of a suspected stabbing in a home in the 9900 block of 116 Street

Two men were transported to the hospital and one person at the scene was arrested after an alleged stabbing Thursday night.

Surrey Police responded to a call of a suspected stabbing in a home in the 9900 block of 116 Street in Whalley around 8:30 p.m.

"Members attended the scene and located a man suffering from stab wounds and a second man suffering from blunt force trauma injuries," read a SPS news release Friday (April 18).

BC Emergency Health Services transported the two men to local medical facilities.

Police say it is too early to "determine the motive of the stabbing," but they believe this was not a random incident.

The person arrested at the scene remains in police custody "pending further investigation."
