Editor,
As seniors we are concerned about the possible upcoming tariffs coming from the U.S. These will adversely affect our daily living (particularly groceries).
Will the coal coming to Roberts Bank from the States be charged 25 per cent per ton as it travels and 25 per cent while waiting to be shipped?
Will U.S. trucks travelling to Alaska be charged 25 per cent as they transit our province?
Will cruise lines be charged 25 per cent as they dock in Vancouver and Victoria and we have to pay their fares in U.S. dollars?
Will the people of Point Roberts be charged a transit fee from their peninsula to Blaine?
Will American tourists coming by land and air be charged a fee as in Europe for visiting here and collected as they cross by air or land?
These are our concerns for our country. If Trump wants to play dirty, so can Canada. We have to stand up to the world's biggest bully. TOQUE YOU, TRUMP!
