Ladies Night Out returns to Cloverdale Nov. 28.
The popular shopping event is hosted by the Cloverdale Arts & Entertainment Association (CA&EA). The annual female-focused Christmas shopping night is held in downtown Cloverdale.
“Mark your calendars,” urged Paige Hardy, president of CA&EA.”Shop local, celebrate the season and have fun.”
Hardy said Ladies Night Out is a well-attended pre-Christmas season event.
“This is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season,” she added. “Most stores will be offering deals, goodies, and other things, as a way to say ‘thank you’ to their customers.”
She said the event brings together local businesses, has “fantastic” shopping opportunities, and "opens the door" on Christmas.
“This year, we’re pulling out all the stops to show our appreciation for the wonderful women of Cloverdale,” Hardy explained. “Whether you’re looking for a night out with friends or a chance to treat yourself, this event is designed to give you the ultimate experience of fun, friendship, and fabulous finds.”
She said shoppers can expect to see discounts and deals in their favourite stores. For anyone who hasn’t been to Cloverdale, she said expect to find “trendy boutiques”and “charming gift stores,” along with some great restaurants and pubs.
“This is the perfect chance to knock out some early holiday shopping or pick up something special.”
Hardy said along with the “discounts and deals,” many of the shops will also be showing some customer appreciation.
“To show their gratitude, participating businesses will be offering complimentary treats, special deals, and more,” she added. “You’ll feel appreciated and pampered as you experience all the fun we’ve planned for the evening.”
Hardy said there will also be gift baskets and prizes to be won.
“Throughout the evening Mrs. Claus will be out and about handing out little customer appreciation gifts to ladies as you wander through the town,” she explained. “Gift baskets will be available to win with prizes donated by our generous local businesses.”
Hardy said participants can collect special stamps each time they make a purchase from participating businesses. Those stamps are then used to enter to win prizes.
The shopping night will take place along 176th street in downtown Cloverdale and along 57th Avenue.
Ladies Night Out was originally set up to encourage people to shop locally and support local businesses and its popularity had ballooned since it first began.
In past years, the evening has seen thousands of shoppers descend on downtown Cloverdale.
“We as an association are passionate about marketing Cloverdale and our community,” said Hardy. “This is such a well received evening for all the ladies of Cloverdale—a fun, free-to-attend evening to kick off the holiday season and a great way to shop local and to support all our amazing diverse shops in Cloverdale.”
