Tomboy Survival Guide

Tomboy Survival Guide

The Tomboy Survival Guide

Gender-defying performance by all-tomboy band in Surrey on March 10.

The Tomboy Survival Guide takes place March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall, 13450 104 Ave.

Part anthem, part campfire story, it’s a collaboration of writer and truth-teller Ivan Coyote and an all-tomboy band – Alison Gorman (trumpet), Pebbles Willekes (bass guitar) and Sally Zori (drums).

Blending story with music – and defying gender boxes – these fast friends and fellow creators invite you to join them as they navigate the narrow halls of public washrooms, skirt the threat of being picked to be a flower girl at their aunt’s wedding, triumph over tying a double Windsor knot and discover the power and beauty in realizing they were handsome all along.

Tickets are $25-40. Visit tickets.surrey.ca
