No Other Land, an Oscar-winning 2024 documentary on the quest for peaceful solutions to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, is the next film to be screened by South Rock Social Justice, Friday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m.
The film, made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective, shows the destruction of the occupied West Bank's Masafer Yatta by Israeli soldiers and the alliance which develops between the Palestinian activist Basel Adra and Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham.
The screening will be at a new location, the Kent Street Activity Centre (1475 Kent St.).
The screening will be moderated by a panel of experts on the topic – drawn from Palestinian community members and representatives of Independent Jewish Voices – with the aim of having a "meaningful dialogue on social justice and human rights."
Parking is free and admission is by donation.
