Come join us in a day of incredible learning at the 3rd Annual Delta Youth Leadership Conference. We have a full day lined up with some incredible speakers in the morning — award-winning entrepreneur and author Kendal Netmaker; DJ Baron S, the first female DJ for the Vancouver Canucks; and bestselling author, personal development coach and founder of Champion UP Adrian Starks — followed by breakout sessions in the afternoon. • Delta School District Kindergarten Registration: Feb. 14-20; online; Kindergarten registration for the 2022/23 school year runs Feb. 14-20. As a result of the pandemic, the registration process will be online again this year. Detailed instructions on how to register will be posted on the district’s website (https://www.deltasd.bc.ca/schools/student-registration/kindergarten/) in early February. Please note: Schools will not accept registration documents in person. Our free holiday money hangover workshop focuses on how you can pay off your holiday debts and how you can plan ahead so that you’ll never accrue this type of debt again. • Grief Circle: Jan. 26 to March 2, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; via Zoom; Delta and Tsawwassen First Nation residents struggling with grief and loss are invited to join Heron Hospice Society’s Grief Circle. Small group sessions will be held online over six weeks starting in late January, with one follow-up session. In order to allow for individual sharing, there are a limited number of spaces available. The group will create a safe environment for you to give voice to your story and feel validated. You will be encouraged to create your own internal and external safety. The group will cover topics like establishing boundaries, consolidating a sense of self, reflecting on the journey and cultivating a future from here on.
