The Seniors Health Network has launched an intergenerational program to teach useful skills to both young and elderly residents in White Rock.

The network, in partnership with the City of White Rock and support from the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, launched a ‘Tech and Tasty’ program at the Kent Street Activity Centre, according to a news release issued last week.

For the program, Earl Marriott Secondary students partner with seniors to learn how to prepare and cook nutritious snacks and meals.

In return, the students help the seniors learn more about their technology devices.

The program consists of six lessons, with the first session to complete by the end of this month.
