Delta-based Ocean Trailer has donated $5,000 to help support local people with developmental disabilities.
The company’s generous donation will fund Delta Community Living Society’s life-enriching programs for people with developmental disabilities, programs that are funded entirely through community support.
“We are so grateful for this donation from Ocean Trailer, particularly during this difficult year,” DCLS executive director Anita Sihota said in a press release.
Sihota noted that DCLS has maintained a valued inclusive employment partnership with Ocean Trailer for the past seven years, wherein the company hires people with developmental disabilities as general labourers in their offices on River Road.
“We are proud to be part of the great work done at Delta Community Living Society, creating opportunities for us and the people they support,” Ocean Trailer president Sid Keay said in a press release.
DCLS is a non-profit community-based organization that provides support to people with developmental disabilities and their families.
