The North Delta Business Association has partnered with LOCO BC and the 2022 BC Buy Local campaign to celebrate local businesses and promote the contributions they to the community and B.C.’s economy.
“We are pleased to partner with LOCO BC to raise awareness of, and help drive customers to, local retailers, purveyors and service providers throughout Delta, including our member businesses,” NDBA president Ian Tait said in a press release announcing the partnership Tuesday (Nov. 8).
“Working with LOCO BC to showcase local-owned businesses — where residents and visitors alike can purchase local-grown and local-made products, and local services — will benefit consumers and our community.”
Running from Monday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Dec. 4, BC Buy Local Week is an annual celebration of the unique contributions that B.C. businesses make to the economy, including strengthening the social fabric and donating to local causes, providing jobs and supporting local service providers, and keeping money circulating in the community.
According to the press release, over 60 per cent of consumers say they look for local products and support local businesses regularly.
Tait said it’s easy for North Delta businesses to take part in BC Buy Local Week.
“There’s a free BC Buy Local online campaign kit, resources to help you build your own online campaign, and on Tuesday, Nov. 15, your business can take in a free webinar titled ‘Making the Most of the #BCBuyLocal Campaign,’” Tait said.
