Driving past the new housing development slated for 112th and 72nd, I couldn’t believe the mass destruction of almost every fir and tree on this parcel of land. Surely the developer could have preserved the once-beautiful mini-forest and the Corp. of Delta could have ensured at least some of the trees were saved. As with most re-developments, we lose many of the mature trees with the promise of replacements. Unfortunately, these trees fall short of what was lost.
