We should have gone for the pork

John Coppard blasts your editorial (Our View, May 6; Conservatives have reason to ignore us, Letters, May 13) stating that there are serious consequences for rebuking the Conservatives in this election.

By placing ourselves “firmly in the opposition camp,” he says, the government will certainly not shower our region with largesse.

In other words, we’re in for four lean years with no more pork-barrel projects or use of our taxes to buy our votes.

He hopes that “common sense prevails next time” and we will vote for the ruling regime.

How foolish. We should’ve gone for the pork.
